Although metastases to adrenal gland are not infrequent in patients with cancer, adrenal gland insufficiency due to metastasis is rarely reported. The majority of cases of adrenal gland dysfunction or insufficiency reported in the literature is clinically diagnosed. The diagnosis of adrenal gland insufficiency confirmed by measurement of hormone is rare in the literature. On the other hand, true incidence of adrenal gland dysfunction or insufficiency is not known. A case with adrenal gland insufficiency due to metastasis to adrenal gland in a patient with non-small cell lung cancer is reported with review of the literature.
